Pitchers Angelo Brunelas and John Campagnuolo have been invited to the 1st Annual HSBN All-American Weekend in late October. Brunelas has also announced his commitment to play at Winthrop University. For more info on the HSBN game, click here:

Teams Honored at Banquet

The baseball program celebrated both the JV and Varsity 2016 seasons on Thursday, May 19 at Wycliffe Country Club. Players, coaches, parents and relatives were on-hand to review the teams’ achievements, including a run into the regional playoffs for Varsity and a JV County Championship. For more info click here:

Wolverines Banquet Set for May 19

The Varsity and JV teams will celebrate the 2016 season with the end-of-the-year banquet at 6pm on May 19 at the Wycliffe Country Club. Wellington had successful seasons – Varsity (18-10) advancing to the Regional Quarterfinals and JV (13-10-1) capturing the County Championship.

Wolverines in Lakeland for Regional Quarterfinals

Wellington will be in Lakeland at 7pm on Wednesday, April 27, to face George Jenkins HS in a Class 8A FHSAA regional quarterfinal game. The winner will face the Seminole Ridge-Bartow winner next week.

Wolverines Advance to District Championship

A 3-run first inning is all Wellington (18-8) needed to advance to the Region 8 District 12 Championship, defeating host Forest Hill, 3-0, on April 19. To read more about the game on HSBN, click here:

Wolverines Upset No. 2 Park Vista, 3-2

The Wolverines snapped a two-game losing streak in a big way on Thursday, April 14, upsetting No. 2-ranked Park Vista, 3-2 in eight innings on Senior Night, capping Wellington’s regular season with a 17-8 record. For more info click here:

JV Captures County Championship

The JV Wolverines won the County Championship on Thursday, April 7, defeating Boca Raton, 3-2 at the Santaluces Complex. Freshman pitcher Ethan Kramer threw a complete game no-hitter, giving up no earned runs. JV finished with a 13-10-1 record.

JV Wins 1st Round Playoff Game

The JV Wolverines used a 4-run 7th inning to beat Palm Beach Gardens in the first round of the JV County Tournament on Saturday, April 2 at the Santaluces Complex. For more info click here:

Wolverines Edge Forest Hill, 2-1

Starting pitcher Ryan Stark tossed a 2-hitter through 5 2/3 innings, Angelo Brunelas drove in Christian Vazquez for the winning run and Jake Silver got the save in relief as Wellington (8-5) edged Forest Hill, 2-1 on Thursday, March 17 at the WHS Field.
