In his second season with Wellington, Coach Ed Romero brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience. He played minor league ball for the Milwaukee Brewers for four years, then in the MLB for another seven years. “I have been very fortunate to coach pro baseball for 25 years, including two years at the Major League Level. This is the first time in 41 years I’m home by this time and not working in pro baseball,” said Romero. “I would love to get back to that, but if not, help in every possible way the kids in amateur ball with the experience and knowledge. Anything I can do to help Scott and the program to get better and successful.”
Romero is married to Ivonne, has a son Eddie Jr., daughter Ariana and grandson Ricky.
