Chris Burnett – Junior Varsity Coach

The 2017 season is Coach Chris Burnett’s seventh year coaching with the Wolverines, returning after playing baseball at Wellington High School from 2002 to 2004.

Coach Chris feels baseball has given him so much in his life, coaching is a way for him to give back. Coach Chris feels if can positively influence players’ lives, then his job as Coach will have been a success. His goals include teaching the players the fundamentals and respect for the game, making the game fun and winning championships.

His Freshman year in college, Chris played baseball for Florida Southern College, a Division II school. His Sophomore year he played at Palm Beach State College. He later played is Junior and Senior years at Lipscomb University, a Division I college in Tennessee. As a pitcher there, Chris set school records for opponent batting average (.202), appearances (28) and ERA (0.38). In 2008, hew was the relief man of the year and made the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Tournament team. Chris helped lead his school to its first A-Sun Title and NCAA appearance.
